Name: Katherine Nicole Lewis

Birthplace: Just south of Chicago, IL, USA
Group species: My character is human. She's also a Witch
Gender: Female
Allignment: Neutral
Appearance:
Katy has hazel eyes and mousy brown hair. She has a rounded face that makes her look younger than she really is.Height/Weight: 5 feet 2 inches/ 120 pounds
Hair: brown, shoulder length
Eyes: hazel, with flecks of grey
Unique/Exotic Features:
Katy has a small tattoo on her left wrist that is of her family crest. It's a small loin's head (in abstract, not really defineable as a lion unless you look at it properly)Image: Model:
Christina RicciPersonal belongings/weaponry:
Katy's effects are a leatherbound journal that contains the spells her family wanted her to have when she struck out on her own. She has a necklace of Amber that she never takes off and a small vial of dirt from her family's ancestral home back in IllinoisPersonality:
Katy is fairly outgoing. She tends to shy away from direct confrontation but will defend her friends to the end it the need calls for it. When Katy was a child, she watched a group of older, bigger boys beat the tar out of her brother. He never used his magick on them and was nearly killed. She asked her mother why and she was told about harming the innocent.Likes:
"Never do magic on another human without their express concent." her mom told her. "Otherwise if it goes wrong, the spell could come back on you." Ever since then, katy has shied away from using her magic more than she has to. The last big time she did, she was fighting a demon of some kind. The ugly, pointy, horned kind. She resorted to using her magick on it after nothing else made it go away. It left but wasn't harmed.
Katy doesn't think she's very powerful. Her skill level is high but she has little actual experience.
Katy likes Italian food. She loves chocolate and horror movies (to laugh at them when they get the magical effects wrong). She likes to dance and sing, which she's apt to do at slightly inappropriate times.Dislikes:
Katy dislikes it when people think she's a kid. She absloutely hates it when someone small is getting picked on by someone a lot bigger and stronger.Strengths:
She's an extremely loyal friend and will never leave anyone behind if they're hurt. She's a pretty good cook, which came in handy as a kid growing up a witch. She's fairly smart but in a bookish kinda way. She knows a little bit about a lot.Weaknesses:
Katy isn't that strong. Her physical size prevents her form being bulky, so she's more of a fight from the sidelines than a fight in the middle kind of girl. She's not too fond of spiders and will scream if one gets on her.Special Abilities:
Katy's magick extends to her ability to see (in short bursts) glimpses of the past. She can summon up demons, but doesn't like to because shes too small to control them.History:
Katherine Nicole Lewis was born in late spring of 1981. Her folks lived in rural Illinois on a farm. secluded fro the first five years of her life, Katy had a hard time assimilating into 'normal' life when she started school. She had an older brother, Toby. They lived with Katy's maternal grandmother, Miriam.Sample RP:
When Katy was about eleven she saw her brother get beat up by some older boys. The incident etched itself on her mind and Katy never forgot the lesson she learned. That it was best to let things be. If magick is used to interfere in the mundane, the mundane will almost always suffer for it.
Three years later, when Katy was fourteen, her grandmother died. Katy was effected by this a lot more than anyone, except her mother of course. Granny had taught her her first spell and was her teacher in the Craft. Without a teacher, Katy would have to learn thinsg for herself.
At eighteen, Katy graduated highschool. She decided to not go to college but travel to her parents' home counrty of Wales to find out more about who she was and where her magick came from.
She spent two years in the UK studying the history of her family. The Lewis clan had previously been called Llewellyn, a very Welsh name. Her family in Wales told a rousing story of how the family was descended of the gods, particularly, Rhiannon. Katy never really believed the story, but it was a nifty line ot hand guys at the pubs in London.
Once back in the States, she decided to live it up with some fun in the sun only to be undenyably drawn to the dark, seedy underground. She's spent the past four and a half years living in the frivolity of LA's dirty demon infested, vampiric netherworld.
Katy walked into the bar. It was a little past seven and there weren't many vampires in yet, the sun had yet to fully set. She sat down at the bar anbd tapped it with a closed fist. The bartender slid a bottle of regular beer to her. She sipped it thoughtfully as she took in who was present. The normal array of demons were there. A few vengence demons sat in a booth giggling like little girls. Katy rolled her eyes.
The doors swug open and a human male walked in. He'd been attacked by a vampire it looked like. His neck was bleeding and his clothes were torn. A *female* vampire, Katy thought. A smile formed on her lips. She stood and walked over to the guy. "You're in a state." she said. "Why don't you have a seat."
The man looked up at her. "Are- are you one of th-th-them?" he stammered.
"A vampire?" Katy asked. She shook her head. "Nah, I don't have it in me to let it happen. I guess none of them want me either as I've been here for a while but no one has tried to take a bite out of me." She grinned and added "Yet."
The man was absolutely terrified. "How can you stand it in here. It smells like death. Everywhere, there's death everywhere!" He shouted and stood up, only to fall backward into his seat. Katy sighed and shook her head. "Just stay sitting, will ya." she said sternly. "You'll fall down again and possibly hurt someone. namely me.."
The confused face of the man made Katy smile. "I understand." she said. She held her hand over his eyes and whispered the word "Forget." The man's eyes drooped and closed.
He opened his eyes a second later and asked "What happened? How did I get here?"
Katy shook her head. "Mister, you really need to quit drinking. It ain't good for ya." She helped him to stand and walk to the door. "Now go home, before the cops find ya and haul ya off."
The nam nodded. "Thanks." he said as he stepped out into the night air. Katy returned to her barstool.
"You know you just sent him to his death, right?" the bartender asked.
Looking up at him Katy shrugged. "If he's trolling around in this neighborhood, he's either very lost or he knows just what he's doing. It isn't my business." She tipped her bottle up and had a long drink. The barkeep was peobably right. He'd be dead by morning. But hell, a place like this, it was better for someone else to get it than you. It was far better indeed.
When the vampires finally started to file in, Katy got up, laid a few bills on the bar and slipped out into the night. She walked home to her apartment in the city. She sighed when she saw the moon overhead. She thought about her old Granny and how she'd react to knowing her little granddaughter was living. "Cest la vie." she said aloud as she walked up the steps of her small brownstone and went inside.
